Get a little culture by stopping at Thiruvananthapuram.
Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) is the capital of Kerala. It is has many cultural attraction such as the Sri Ananthapadmanabhaswamy temple, the Sri Chitra Art gallery and museums. Each of these attractions will give you a glimpse of Kerala’s culture. You can experience the past by taking a tour of the palaces of the family of the Maharajas of Travancore.
Turn back time in Kochi
Kochi or Cochin is a port city and is renowned for the Chinese fishing nets in its harbor that are still used by fisherman to earn their livelihood even today. Kochi is the only place where these nets are found outside China. Visit the harbor and get picturesque pictures of ships, people and fish.
Visit the many remnants of India’s colonial past by visiting the Fort Cochin, the Santa Cruz Basilica, the Dutch Palace at Matancherry, Jewish synagogue, and the St Francis Church.

Kerala is renowned for its backwaters. Kerala has a network of interconnected brackish lagoons and lakes that are fringed with palm trees, connected with villages and parallel to the Arabian Sea coast. Experience a different world as you cruise on a traditional houseboat, where the sounds you hear are not car honking but rather water rippling and birds calling. If you time your visit correctly, you can even watch as teams compete for the Nehru Gold Cup at the annual snake boat races held at Allapuzha.
